ACT 3 started out in 1997 by MICHAEL 27 ANDERSSON & MATTIAS LARSSON under the name NIGHTFLOWER. In 1998 the band recorded their first demo & later that year ELIN (vocals) & DANIEL B (bas) left the band. LOUI (guitar) joined the same year and a new demo was recorded.
In 1999 EMMELY & MARTIN joined the band, the new line-up was: MICHAEL (bas), MATTIAS (drums), LOUI (guitar), EMMELY (vocals/keyboard) & MARTIN (lead guitar), RICKARD (keyboard) left the band & the new name of the band was now TEARS OF MELANCHOLY. The same year the band went to Sunlight studio to record the new demo ”Where tears never dry” & the band started to perform more live. In 2000 the band went to Sunlight studio again to record the album ”Eternal journey trough lost dreams” DANIEL J joined as the male vocalist. In December 2000 the band played the final gig and in 2001 MICHAEL decided to put the band on ice. The personal conflicts within the band had made it impossible to continue.
In 2003 MICHAEL started to write new material & MATTIAS was on board again. It should take 4 years for them to find a new vocalist who was right for the job, but in 2007 LINA joined the band as the new vocalist. The same year the band went to Sunlight studio to record a new demo & the new name was now ACT 3. The demo was released in 2008 and got so good response that the band decided to record a EP with the name ”Princess tragedy”. The same year DANIEL J (vocals in TEARS OF MELANCHOLY) joined the band as the new bassist & DUKE as the second guitarist. Before the EP was released DUKE left the band & in December 2008 they released the ”Princess tragedy EP” on their own label. The new line-up was now: MICHAEL (Guitar/keyboard) MATTIAS (Drums) LINA (vocals) & DANIEL (bas). To be continued………………

THE CAUZE HAS CREATED A BUZZ THIS PAST YEAR IN
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WITH THEIR HARD ROCK MELODIC
SOUND THAT STANDS OUT ON IT'S OWN.

JEFF ELLIS - SONG WRITER, LEAD GUITARIST AND LEAD
VOCALS
FORMED THE CAUZE IN JANUARY 2005. HE HAS ALWAYS HAD A
PASSION FOR MUSIC AND A LOVE FOR GUITAR WHICH HE
LEARNED TO PLAY BY EAR AT THE AGE OF SEVEN. GROWING
UP IN NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA HE PLAYED WITH LOCAL
BANDS IN THE ORANGE COUNTY AND L.A. CIRCUIT WITH A HUGE
FOLLOWING. SINCE THEN HE TO TOOK A BREAK AND BUILT A
SMALL RECORDING STUDIO IN HIS HOME AND DECIDED TO LAY
DOWN ALL HIS SONGS THAT HE HAS WRITTEN ALONG WITH
SOME NEW ONES. AFTER LETTING FAMILY AND FRIENDS HEAR
HIS CD AND HEARING THE GREAT REACTION, HE DECIDED IT
WAS TIME TO LET THE WHOLE WORLD HEAR THEM.

JEFF STARTED TO ADVERTISE HIMSELF AND PUT A BAND
TOGETHER AND FIRST FOUND JOEL ELLIS. JOEL ELLIS SAW
THE AD IN THE RECYCLER FOR 2ND GUITAR PLAYER AND READ
JEFF'S BIO AND KNEW THIS WAS THE BAND FOR HIM. JOEL
PREVIOUSLY PLAYED IN A LOCAL HARD ROCK BAND THAT
PLAYED THE L.A. CIRCUIT.

SOON AFTER KEVIN CRIDER ANSWERED AN AD TO THE L.A.
RECYCLER.

THEN LAST BUT NO LEAST OUR DRUMMER BOBBY RICHARDS
WAS INTRODUCED TO THE CAUZE BY DEBRA STOCKER FROM
ALL ACCESS MAGAZINE AND THE CAUZE WAS FORMED.

THIS BAND IS SO COMMITTED, THEY TRULY ALL HAVE A
PASSION FOR MUSIC AND BEING A PART OF THE CAUZE. THEY
HAVE RECEIVED GREAT REVIEWS FROM ALL THEIR SHOWS AND

THE FAN BASE GROWS AFTER EACH SHOW.

JEFF ELLIS HAS A GREAT BAND TO SUPPORT HIS MUSIC. IT
REALLY IS
HARD TO COMPARE HIS MUSIC TO ANYONE BECAUSE IT TRULY
IS HIS OWN.

THE CAUZE ENJOYS PERFORMING WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM
AND HOPES SOME DAY SOON TO BE HEARD ON RADIO ALL
OVER THE WORLD AND TO EXPERIENCE PERFORMING ON
STAGE IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES.

IN SEPTEMBER 2008 THE CAUZE WAS SIGNED A DISTRIBUTION
DEAL WITH BLASTZONE RECORDS/NIGHTMARE RECORDS.

Combining the musical styles of alternative, hard rock, classical, progressive, and heavy metal, F.H.O.D. has become a band with a sound for everyone. From hypnotic drum rhythms in the vein of Tool and Rush to old school metal bass lines reminiscent of Iron Maiden and Sabbath, F.H.O.D. borrows from the old classic rock and combines current trends and modern hooks to create a sound uniquely their own. Together with dynamic guitar roar and powerful, emotionally charged vocals, this Chicago band is receiving great reviews as a live band with a huge sound and endless musical potential.

Their latest self-release, My Great Escape is out now! This album can be described as somewhat of a dark hypnotic journey, that is sometimes treacherous, but filled with hope. There's an emotional element to each of these songs that the listener will connect with, and make them their own. From the epic song of survival in "Against the Odds," to more melodic sounding "In My Shell," and "State of Mind," and the upbeat tempos of "False Prophet," "Kings and Queens," and "Unashamed," this album clearly does not leave any stone unturned. With story telling, thought provoking, and deeply personal lyrics, the listener will surely connect to the music. There is a warm classic-like sound to this CD that gives the songs character, A modern sound mixed with an old school feel, skilled musicianship, and credible songwriting abilities, My Great Escape will be an album of which people will take notice.F.H.O.D. are receiving great reviews as a band, with a huge sound and huge potential.
